Are you interested in training to become a qualified gala official or to be qualified at a higher level?
Last year 7 of our
parents became DASC qualified timekeepers. We would very much like more
of you to become qualified and those who are already qualified to
consider higher level qualifications.
You do not need prior knowledge to get started. Training will be given.
Being
at a gala as an official entitles you to free entry to the gala, travel
expenses, a free lunch and a grandstand view of the action.

RECORD BOOKS
ON SALE AT CLUB SWIM SHOP
If you haven't set up your own system for recording your times from galas, then you might find it helpful to buy one of our new Record Books to help you make a start. They are on sale at the Club Swimshop, 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month, 6.00-8.00pm on the poolside at the Dolphin Centre.
You can also buy sprint awards there (gold, silver and bronze awards).
Ask there for advice too.
Note to Parents and Swimmers
It is very important that you keep an up-to-date record of your swimmer's Personal Best times and details of the date and gala where they happened. This will help you to judge which future galas are appropriate for your swimmer to enter and enable you to complete the gala entry forms more easily.
